We Are Hiring! – Part-Time Income Generation Manager

Unmasked Mental Health has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Income Generation Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours).

Here at Unmasked Mental Health, our goal is simple: Through our Hubs, Counselling Services, and Training provision, we want to provide safe, stable, and regulated environments where people suffering from poor mental health can communicate with each other, get professional support, and educate employers and others on how to support people who may be struggling.

We are proud to partner with many other organisations within the communities we operate. Unmasked Mental Health are a social prescriber service working in partnership with NHS England which means adults can be referred to us for support directly from a GP or other medical practitioner.

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Income Generation Manager to lead our fundraising, marketing, and income generation strategies. This pivotal role will focus on developing our existing income streams which include providing a range of services to employers and delivering fundraising activities within our communities. The role involves building lasting relationships with stakeholders and leading the development of our fundraising and communications efforts. You’ll work alongside the CEO, trustees, and a dedicated operational team to ensure our mission of alleviating poor mental health within the communities we support is achieved.

Key responsibilities includes:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy, aligned with Unmasked Mental Health’s vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and trustees to ensure fundraising initiatives align with the charity’s broader strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to organisational policy and strategic decision-making as part of the senior leadership team.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, corporate partners, community supporters, trustees, and volunteers.
  • Provide support to individuals and corporate partners who fundraise in aid of our charity, produce press releases and sharing success on social media.
  • Represent Unmasked Mental Health at public events, delivering impactful speeches to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
  • Craft compelling narratives and case studies that showcase the charity’s work and impact, ensuring donor engagement and retention.
  • Ensure effective internal communication and teamwork across all departments.
  • Support the recruitment, support, and retention of volunteers, working with the team, local organisations and businesses to identify opportunities where they can support the delivery of our services.

Income Generation & Fundraising

  • Drive the growth of high-value income streams, including major donors, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising, and events.
  • Develop strategies to promote payroll giving to corporate partners, providing information and advice to ensure our partners are able to set up schemes smoothly and successfully.
  • Develop a strategic events plan that engages diverse audiences and maximises impact, without diluting key relationships.
  • Work with our Training and Counselling Service Leads to promote our employers services to businesses across the UK
  • Identify and secure sustainable funding through targeted applications, tailored corporate proposals, and joint fundraising initiatives.
  • Improve Community Wellness Partnership strategies, ensuring an exceptional experience for new and existing supporters.

Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee the development of marketing materials and digital content that effectively communicate Unmasked Mental Health’s mission, impact, and goals.
  • Manage and optimise Unmasked Mental Health’s digital platforms—website, social media, and email—ensuring consistent and engaging content.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media partners, ensuring the charity’s stories and successes reach the wider public.
  • Analyse market trends and performance metrics to continuously enhance Unmasked Mental Health’s public profile and fundraising efforts.

Mental Health Provision Development

  • Oversee in-depth research into mental health issues to refine and target our services effectively.
  • Lead and deliver impactful seasonal initiatives, such as winter mental health support programs, maximising reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for joint funding applications and community-based solutions to alleviate poor mental health.
  • Oversee and streamline referral systems, ensuring they are compassionate, efficient, and responsive to community needs.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, data protection laws, and ethical standards in all fundraising activities.
  • Leverage CRM systems (Hubspot) to effectively track and report on donor engagement, fundraising progress, and income.

Work with the CEO and finance team to monitor fundraising budgets and ensure transparent and accountable allocation of donations

Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications Required:

 

We’re looking for a results-driven, empathetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will bring:

  • Proven experience and results in fundraising, income generation, and marketing within the charity sector (3 years min).
  • People skills, to build cohesion with the team and beyond with wider staff and volunteers. We are a small team and we need all staff to be team players.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling stories to a wide range of audiences.
  • A strategic thinker with experience in developing and executing multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
  • A passion for social impact and the drive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those experiencing poor mental health.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data management (hubspot experience desirable) to drive effective donor engagement and maximise fundraising opportunities.
  • Full clean driving license is required. This role does require some ad hoc travel to other organisations for meetings etc for which mileage will be paid.

Please note: This is a part-time (20 hours) office-based role located in central Halifax. The role can be covered across 4 or 5 days per week (4-5 hours per day) with a maximum of 1 day per week working from home. Hours can be agreed. We are a small team and as such, require all the team to be able to support the office.

Salary is £35,000 per annum pro rata (£18,666 pro rata).
